In April 2008 Framewerks started with only a single truck and trailer. The business focused on purchasing distressed real estate properties and renovating them in the London Ontario area. In the early days the focus was on functional and pleasant finishings, high end kitchens and bathrooms were the exception, not the normal.
In 2009 Framewerks leased it’s first warehouse and shop space in the Glencoe area. This allowed Framewerks to consolidate it’s equipment, tools, and materials in one space and build custom solutions for customers off-site so disruption from renovations were minimized.
2009 was also a big year in terms of technology. www.Framewerks.ca was launched.
In 2012 Framewerks signed on with several commercial property management firms in the London area. Acting as their general contractor for unit repairs and refurbishments Framewerks made repairs and upgrades a single call.
Framewerks also launched their electrical division ElectricWerks in 2012. Specializing in residential and light commercial electrical work, ElectricWerks is an important part of the WerksGroup.
With continued growth, Framewerks was too big for their existing shop space in Glencoe. The demand from London clients had increased so much that it made sense to move head office and the majority of shop operations into London. Framewerks new home in London gives customers a convenient place to meet with Mike and his team in a no pressure environment.
2014 was a big year for Framewerks as they incorporated under the WerksGroup. The WerksGroup offers a full range of residential and commercial renovations, additions, new builds, and maintenance.
Framewerks decided to leverage their existing heavy equipment inventory to start offering skidsteer services to other businesses and customers directly. They currently have bobcat skidsteer loaders with both track and wheel drives to assist on large jobs.
Framewerks has partnered with Try Recycling in an effort to reduce waste and promote environmentally friendly practices.
