Exceptional Service to ease the Renovation Process

adminInformationJanuary 15, 2015

Framewerks is dedicated not only to providing renovations of the highest quality, but we also excel in providing exceptional service to homeowners to take the stress and worry out of the process. From beginning to end, and all points in between, we do our very best to ensure that your renovation experience in a positive one. Here are just a few of the ways from start to finish that we ensure that our client’s needs are met.

  1. Written Contract. Framewerks provides a detailed written contract that outlines all of the key important factors related to the renovation. The start and end dates for the project, detailed scope of the work, price and payment schedule, and warranty for work provided. It is important to address all of these areas so that the customer ensures that they are getting the renovation that they want and has the protection of a written contract. Please beware of other contractors offering “too good to be true” deals and no written contract. These unscrupulous contractors too often leave the homeowner in the lurch, take off with your money and are never seen again. Always, always, always get a written contract.
  2. Start Date. As mentioned in the contract, we have a firm start date and limit overlapping of numerous jobs so that we can commit to your project and its completion in as short a time as possible. We are sensitive to the fact that certain renovations, especially kitchens and bathrooms, leave families without access to certain necessities such as a stove for preparing food or bathtubs for washing. We do our very best to make sure we limit the time you are without these necessities. All materials are lined up far in advance to the start date so that the job is never put on hold because materials have not arrived yet. Also, we value our select and trusted subtrades who work in close collaboration with us to make sure we maintain our timelines.
  3. Job Site Clean Up. Rest assured, you will never come home at the end of the day while the job is in progress to find that your house has been left in shambles by the contractor. At the end of every work day, we remove all waste and garbage from the work site, pack away our tools, and sweep and vacuum our way out the door. We know that your home is your investment and we make sure that we protect your home while we are working in it. Furniture is covered with protective plastic. Your flooring will be covered with protective covering specific to your flooring type. For example, we have specific coverings designed for porous floor surfaces so that no sticky residue is left behind on your beautiful travertine floor. We also erect plastic walls with zipper access so that we can contain the renovation area and prevent dust from spreading to other areas of your home.
  4. Daily communication with homeowners. We know that the recipe for a successful relationship with our customers is communication. We communicate daily with customers regarding the projects progress. If you are ever to be without an essential service, we communicate that to you in advance so that you are able to make any necessary alternate arrangements. Also, if there are any concerns that need to be addressed, we always bring them to your attention so that plans can be made to address them. Once the construction process begins, the unforeseen is sometimes found behind the walls, for example mold or inadequate electrical wiring. We know that your home is your greatest asset and most importantly it must be safe for you and your family. We ensure that the renovation is done correctly and that any issues are communicated to the customer.
  5. Insurance. Framewerks has liability insurance for work done in your home and WSIB coverage for staff and trades. Attention all homeowners, this is very important. If you have someone working in your home that does not have the required necessary insurance, you the home owner now becomes liable for the work done in your home and for any injuries that a contractor may sustain while working in your home.
  6. Permits and inspections. Framewerks always provides required permits and orders inspections for work done. Our master electricians are ESSA certified to work in your home and call in for inspections to the ESSA. Again, if you have a contractor working on your home without these qualifications, you may find yourself in more hot water than it is worth. If faulty electrical installed by an unqualified electrician results in you the homeowner making an insurance claim, your insurance provider can opt not to approve the claim because the electrical was installed by an unqualified contractor.
  7. Warranty. After the job is complete, Framewerks offers a two year warranty on workmanship and materials. We are committed to using the highest quality of materials. Also, our experienced staff of tradesmen provides the skills and expertise to ensure that our work is of the highest quality.
